Travel
By Car - From the M1 junction 35a take the A616. Cross
the A628 and take the A6106 at the next crossroads. Carlecotes
is the next left hand turn. The cottage is the last building on
the right. From Manchester take the A628. Leave
the road at the summit of the Woodhead Pass (Windle
Edge). Travel through Dunford Bridge and Townhead
before reaching the cottage. It is the first building on the left
as you enter Carlecotes. |

Public Transport: Trains from Sheffield, Barnsley,
Huddersfield and Leeds stop at Penistone
just 5 miles from Carlecotes. There are also trains
from Manchester to Glossop. Lifts
possible by arrangement. No. 20 bus connects Carlecotes
with Holmfirth, Penistone (www.visitpenistone.co.uk)
and Barnsley. |
